God began the story of humanity in the Garden and it hasn't ended there. Our gardens still invite us to listen, draw close, and observe what the Lord wishes to teach us. When we garden in light of the Gospel, we are reminded of creation itself. As bugs weedle their way in, we are reminded of our brokenness. But as flowers rise, despite the challenges, we are reminded of redemption and that final hope that all will be made new once again.

This workbook was written by my husband and me. It shares a bit of our journey and how we have learned to garden in central Florida (zone 9b). We discuss our garden layout, how to fight common pests in our area, when to harvest, and how to plan for flowers all year long. In addition, we have added several worksheets at the end walking you through planning color palettes, choosing flowers for specific bouquets & arrangements, planting times for “cool season” flowers, and reflecting on past seasons.

More importantly, we have related all of the practicalities of gardening to the Gospel itself, and how the Lord can use our gardens to teach our own hearts. This was the main focus of our workbook and we pray that it will help you draw closer to Lord in your own gardening experience.
